Pearcy began serving as President in April 2013. He then was elected in 2015, 2019, and 2023 to four-year terms, each by unanimous vote of the membership. Previously, he had served as Ozark District Director, World Harvest chair, World Missions Director and nine years as the First Vice President.
Saved at a family altar in Western Oklahoma, surrendered to preach, and filled with the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues before his 16th birthday. His strong Pentecostal heritage began with his maternal great-grandparents who were lay-leaders in the founding of his home church. His paternal grandparents were ministers serving for over 50 years in ministry. His parents have served in various leadership roles all of their adult lives in the same local congregation.
Pearcy prepared for ministry by earning degrees in Bible (Southwestern Assemblies of God University – Waxahachie, TX), Teacher Education (Southwestern Oklahoma State University – Weatherford, OK), and a Masters in Biblical Literature (Assemblies of God Theological Seminary – Springfield, MO). In 2015, Pearcy earned his (Th.D.) Doctorate of Theology in Pneumatology from Great Commission Bible College and Seminary. He has served churches in Missouri, Oklahoma, & Texas. Since 1991, he has served as senior pastor of Radiant Life Church in Bentonville, Arkansas.
He is married to his wife Davene, the eldest daughter of Dr. Lester Lowry, an Assemblies of God evangelist and pastor. She is a gifted worship pastor, musician, licensed minister and also an amazing wife and mother.
The Pearcys have three adult children all working in Christian ministry: A daughter, Tabitha, an ordained minister with FGEA, is married to Noah Sons with a daughter, Avery. Two sons: Joshua and Seth.
By virtue of his office, the president serves as chair of FGEA Executive Board and the National Leadership Team.
In addition to work on international mission boards and other stateside ministry programs, Pearcy has served since 2002 as a Professor of Bible and Theology at Ecclesia Bible College, Springdale, AR. He previously served as President of Great Commission Bible College for four years and as Chaplain for the Benton County Sheriff’s Office for ten years.
